During Fuge, I had the incredible opportunity of meeting hundreds of people. One student in particular said something to me that still sticks with me even now. We were talking about how God gifts us with obvious things in our path, just to see us recognize who he is.
“For me,” she explained, “God knows that I absolutely ADORE flowers. Big flowers, little flowers, ANY flower. And every time I see a flower, I’m reminded of who created them. I could be having the worst day, but then suddenly, I see a flower, and I can’t help but praise God.. sometimes I think he puts a flower in my path simply to make me smile!”
This girl’s perspective got me thinking and she’s totally right….
Today, God put a Daddy/Daughter road trip in my path. We traveled 8 hours to Anderson, South Carolina for NewSpring’s Leadership Conference tomorrow. The older I get, the more I crave these precious trips with my dad. Trips where the radio is a light hum in the background as we spend hours and hours in conversation. These trips remind me of how blessed I am, and how thankful I am to be gifted with such an incredible daddy.
I am so blessed.
