Alivia + Samuel | A Sweet Waterside Proposal

This season is my favorite for SO MANY reasons. Everything is cozy, Christmas cookies are a regular thing, and it’s marriage proposal season!!! I remember when proposals used to make me SO nervous. With sweaty palms, a million thoughts would run through my head as I would wait for that most perfect moment! Now, I’m giddy with excited anticipation with every proposal I photograph. They are the very beginning moments a couple shares where marriage is officially in the future. They’re tender, excited, romantic, intimate and oh-so-perfect!

When Samuel called me, he explained in fine detail the sweet simplicity of how he wanted to ask Alivia to be his bride. “We’re not doing Christmas gifts,” he said. Then, with a chuckle he added, “So, I’ll invite her on a Christmas date,”

That Christmas date would go down as her most favorite date yet!

When the time came, Samuel covered one of their favorite spots in twinkling lights and blind folded the woman who had captivated his heart. Then, he walked her out to a dock, where jazz music played. He took her into his arms and led her in a smooth sway, holding her close, unable to keep the ever growing smile from his face.

Then, he got down on one knee, told her he loved her, and asked her to be his.

And she said …. YES!
