Those curls.
Light flickered between Allie’s curled strands of hair as she turned her head to face the camera. She broke out into a happy grin, then contained her joy in her eyes, slightly smiling.
The smolder.
It’s no surprise that Allie has perfected the art of presentation. Her stage presence is not captivated by an elevated platform, but instead, always with her. It started when she was little. Allie was like many young girls, singing, dancing, dreaming… when one day, her dreaming turned into performing.
Growing up, she knew she was called to be on stage. Musical theatre became a passion that she pursued with all of her heart. Until, one day, when her heart was firmly called to pursue something else…
Allie had been raised in a Christian home and had grown to know Christ’s voice. That’s why, at age 13, she knew it was his voice calling her to pursue missions. You can imagine the mixed emotions that followed. Thirteen year old Allie desperately desired to pursue musical theatre… to be on stage, to captivate people’s attention and perform. God had knit her together with the talent and the drive to pursue it….God had given her those desires and passions for a reason!
Hadn’t he?
It was an instant struggle.
Allie knew she was called to missions, but she knew her heart was created to pursue musical theatre…
For a long time, she struggled with how these two passions, missions and theatre, would ever work together. She tried to imagine how to balance international missions, with musical theatre and tried to figure out a plan to make hem both work…
But slowly, Allie began to realize something incredible.
Her mission field was the stage.
She wasn’t meant to do missions and musical theatre separately, she was meant to purse missions in musical theatre. No matter where musical theatre would take her, Allie knew that her sole purpose was to proclaim a lifestyle that gave glory to the same person that gave her the passion for musical theatre to begin with…. Jesus Christ.
Allie graduates in less than a week. In the midst of butterflies, new chapters in life, and new adventures Allie is continually reminded of the Lord’s faithfulness.
I could not be more excited to see where Allie’s adventures in Christ take this gorgeous girl!
