The Bragg Mitchell Mansion
The older I get, the more precious family sessions become to me. I used to be so worried if the “perfect” image wasn’t created during a photo session. Back then, I thought the perfect photo experience meant that everyone smiling at the camera, no one cried and the parents loved their children all the more because of our time together. I chuckle now as I think back on my naivety. As time has passed, I’ve come to learn that the most favored photos from a session aren’t always the most “perfect” ones. Facebook profile pictures are rarely changed to the images of “everyone smiling at the camera”. Instead, the genuine candidness of a child’s laugh while her momma holds her, or the way a father looks at his wife with precious appreciation as she hold’s their baby- these images are the ones that are most loved.
The Ray Family
The Ray Family recently moved from Alaska to Alabama and my oh my what an adjustment that has been! Being in the military, Dylan and Moriah haven’t mind the travel of Dylan’s job. But, as their little baby girl Everly turns two this year, they thought of no better time than to move back to Alabama to be closer to family. I am SO excited to have these three in Mobile because Moriah is actually a photographer herself! Her passion lies with families and little ones and her images of them are absolutely beautiful!
This sweet family of three shares so much joy between them. Moriah and Dylan are absolutely beautiful people and their little Everly has the most vibrant personality! As we photographed their family photos at the Bragg Mitchell Mansion, I couldn’t help but adore the candidness that their session had. It was genuine, beautiful and full of life. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, the Bragg Mitchell Mansion is one of my favorite places to photograph in Mobile, Alabama. It’s Southern charm and splendor is as timeless as can be! The Bragg Mitchell Mansion made the perfect backdrop for the Ray family and their photo session!
