“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”
Ecclesiastes 3:11
It’s no secret that I am a dreamer.
I do believe that anything is possible.
And I do believe in fairy tales & happy endings.
(I mean I got to go to Disney world for FREE – that’s a fairy tale in my book! )
Life is beautiful.
Life is messy.
Life is an adventure.
So, you can imagine my excitement when I got an email from a young girl who viewed life the same way.
Brooke is a beautiful brunette who loves people. Her love for people goes so deep that some of the most intricate dreams of her heart include helping people and changing lives. She loves to watch Christ transform hearts, just like he transformed hers.
Transformation.
Brooke and I wandered around a beautiful old church as she poured out her heart to me. When the time came for an outfit change, something in Brooke changed as well. Her smile got wider, her eyes got brighter, and she held herself higher…..
Instantly Brooke became a princess right before my eyes.
The Bible says that Christ has placed eternity in our hearts. That means he has placed a vast desire of dreams that can only be fulfilled by a relationship with him. Often, we try to satisfy those desires with the things of this world, but we are left feeling empty. Those desires are meant to be satisfied by nothing less than the one who created them- the one who created us, Jesus Christ. We were made for something far greater than this world- that’s our fairytale.
Brooke transforms into a princess for this very reason. She works as Belle from Beauty and the Beast, for an organization called “Princesses with a Purpose”. She and her cast mates dress up like princesses and go to children’s hospitals and other events and organizations. They’re goal is to love on little girls and inspire them- and they succeed each and every time.
“I have always loved Disney princesses. The music, the magic, the beauty, and the love made princesses such a role model to me. Although some look down upon fairy tales, they really do hold some values. Cinderella was hated by her step-sisters and step mom because of their jealousy. Yet she remained kind and strong throughout the whole story. The evil queen wanted to kill Snow White because of her beauty! Belle gave up her future in place to rescue her father and was thought “odd” by her community. In the end, everything works out for good! Although we won’t have a happily ever after on this earth, I know there is one waiting in heaven. And adversity still faces beautiful women today because the Evil One sees the glory of God upon them. Satan only attacks when he feels we are a threat to him. “

Brooke loves to give young girls a positive role model. Not only one that is beautiful on the outside, but one that is beautiful on the inside as well.

If you would like to read a book that will inspire you and explain more about the heart of a woman and the mystery of it, I strongly encourage you to read “Captivating” By John & Stasi Eldredge! Brooke and I both have learned so much by reading it!

Thanks for sharing some of your innermost thoughts. It was great to see you value
extending yourself to others. That is to give of yourself – not just take. I loved your “dreamy ideas”. You are special in our hearts and we are proud you are our granddaughter.
