Deanna’s smile caught in her eyes and I knew instantly that this shoot was going to be special. I’ve known this girl for a few years now and watching her grow has been a treat! She’s transformed from a little girl into a women whose biggest concern is how she can impact and change the world. She is a beautiful girl with big dreams ! Deanna is a creative and artistic soul. She loves to create and sees the world differently than her peers- and that’s a good thing!
Deanna thought of no better place to take her senior photos than in the middle of her hometown and that’s exactly what we did! Powhatan County is gorgeous. So much of Virginia’s history and countryside are all wrapped up inside it’s arrowhead shaped county lines!

The heart of Powhatan is the courthouse and that’s where we had our session.
The courthouse area is utterly charming. Brick walls and stone pillars enchant the attention of every onlooker. Adding Deanna’s bright sea blue eyes to the mix made for incredible portraits !
