There is a quiet place, just off of the bay and few people know it. A staircase leads visitors to a small beach, with rose colored sand and Spanish moss laced trees. It’s calm and quaint. The sea kisses the shore in a rhythmic way that relaxes the heart and clears the mind. Nick & Nicole found this little treasure together, and there was no better place in Nick’s mind to propose to his love.
Nick is a man of detail. Throughout their dating relationship he would shower Nicole with thoughtful letters, intentional gifts and beautiful momentos of his love for her.
His proposal of marriage would be no different.
Nick rallied a group of his closest friends and explained his plan. The day he proposed to Nicole would be filled to the brim and overflowing. It would start with breakfast, at one of their favorite spots, and then continue with one of the most thoughtful proposals I’ve ever been a part of!
With the help of his friends, a table was set. Two glasses and sparkling cider between them. Stations were placed in a circle, marking the most important days of Nick & Nicole’s journey together. The first day they met, the first time they whispered, “I love you,”… when Nick realized she was the one for him….each station overflowed with importance, and the last one was most important of them all. At the very last station, a tiffany blue box was hidden, with a custom made ring tucked inside.
How precious are these memory stations?!
Needless to say… Nicole was completely and totally surprised!
Her reaction had me misty eyed!
Nick and Nicole both wanted to wait to share a first kiss. They wanted to honor each other and save all intimacy for their future spouses. So, right there on the beach, their first kiss ever was shared between them…. And my heart may have melted into a puddle… it was absolutely beautiful!

This precious little thing…. it almost sparkles as much as they do!
One of my favorite things about this proposal? They couldn’t stop jumping up and down and holding each other. One minute they would embrace, and the next, one of them would shout “I’m getting married!!” And they’d squeal and jump! It was so joyful!!
