Graduation: Not only did I graduate, but my sweet younger sister did too! MyraJoy graduated with her Associates degree from a junior college and looked soooo good doing it ! Isn’t she gorgeous? Golly i love her. She plans to attend James Madison University in the Fall and major in Vocal Performance!
Myra’s Recital: My family is blessed with the gift of animation. We are very outgoing, performance type people. Which I didn’t fully acknowledge until I took these photos of my sister performing at her senior vocal recital this past week! I just LOVED her performance and I couldn’t be more proud of the woman that she is! She did exceptional !!!!
My Dad’s 56th Birthday…again: My dad has a wonderful sense of humor. His birthday was this past week and this year he turned 56… again. I say “again” because last year he told everyone he was 56… when he wasn’t. We did the math, and couldn’t stop laughing! To celebrate my dad and his birthday, MyraJoy made him this INCREDIBLE cake! My Dad LOVES to kayak, so she made him doing what he loves, about to kayak over a waterfall! (That’s why he’s so surprise 😉 So cool!
Just an Earthquake: If you were in Powhatan, VA or any of its surrounding counties last night, you probably felt something similar to the effects of someone running their car into your house ! Or at least, that what we thought it felt like. Powhatan had an earthquake! Our last one was in 2011, so I guess it’s big news. You know sweet country folk 😉
Needless to say, this last week has been filled to the brim! We’ve had joyful moments, and heartbreaking ones, tender moments, and moments filled with adventure. All I can say is I’m grateful. Sometimes things happen and we don’t understand why…. but every situation and experience is purposed for something greater than ourselves. This last week we lost a family friend. But, in spite of loss, we choose joy, because Christ redeems.
Live today on purpose!
Happy Thursday!
