Our Historic Old Town Alexandria, Virginia Engagement Session
A few weeks ago, David and I made the trek from Alabama to Virginia. I photographed a wedding, we spent time with my family, and we met up with our wedding photographer for our engagement session in Historic Old Town Alexandria!
Historic Old Town Alexandria in the Spring is absolutely charming. From the color splashed town-homes to the ever flowering trees, most everything seems to celebrate the warming weather. The air has the sweet fragrance of fresh blooms and blossoms. You can’t help but feel as if you’re in a storybook of sorts. Historic Old Town Alexandria is laced with elegance and sprinkled with a flare-filled personality. Cobble stone streets are dotted through the small city leading to coffee & gelato shops. Live music can be found on street corners or in parks- whether a violin or a banjo, you’re sure to find a sound you’ll love if you wander long enough. All in all, Alexandria was the most perfect place for David and I to have our engagement session. We absolutely fell in LOVE with Historic Old Town Alexandria!
We didn’t only fall in love with Alexandria, but also with our wedding photographer! I can’t even begin to tell you how hard it was to choose a wedding photographer ( more on that later!). But once we were in front of Megan’s camera, I knew that we had made the right choice. Megan Kelsey of Megan Kelsey Photography did an incredible job of encouraging us, and creating an atmosphere where taking photos was fun and stress free! David and I love to laugh together, and during our engagement session, we laughed more times than I can count! Megan did a wonderful job of capturing who we are and using the elegant town of Historic Old Town Alexandria as the perfect backdrop for her imagery.
Looking over these images, I am continually brought to tears. I love this man SO much and cannot WAIT to be his wife in a little over FIVE MONTHS!! This might just be my most FAVORITE blog post YET!
