Jenni is a beautiful woman, bitten by wanderlust. She loves coffee, thrifting, and constantly adds vibrancy and joy to any situation. From an early age, Jenni loved to travel. Seeing the new sights, meeting new people, and experiencing new things- brings her alive in ways she can’t even describe. In college she studied elementary education, knowing that she wanted to teach. But a part of her also knew that she was called to something unique.
In college, an organization called Oasis Schools visited and advertised it’s programs for overseas missions and teaching programs. Quietly to a friend, Jenni mentioned being interested in their mission, and then continued on with her day. Little did she know how much God had in store for her through Oasis.
Almost four years later, after graduating college, Oasis School appeared in Jenni’s life again. An open teaching position presented itself in Indonesia. Jenni jumped. She applied on a whim…. and within no time at all she was accepted. After continued prayer, God constantly affirmed his will for Jenni- to continue doing what she loved -teaching- and do it overseas. Within two days time she raised the two thousand dollars needed for her plane ticket, and since accepting the position, she has had a constant overflow of peace.
Needless to say, Jenni is moving to Indonesia in January.
I am so proud of my friend.
