Senior Sessions are always filled with excitement. The transition period from being a Senior in High School to a Freshman in college is a big and life changing step. Of course, other emotions are there too, but when it’s all said and done, most Seniors cannot WAIT to see what the next season will bring.Jenni is no exception. With starting her Senior year of high school this Fall, Jenni knows that this next year will go by all too quickly. After High School ends, a new chapter will begin and I mean that literally. See, Jenni loves to write . Her dreams have led her to the desire to report on big world issues, and fascinate readers in every household. Jenni hopes to one day motivate people to not ignore the issues our world faces, but confront them head on. Talking with her, it’s so easy to see that writing is something she holds dear to her heart. When I asked her what she plans to do after her Senior year, Jenni looked at me with those bright brown eyes and smiled.
See, Jenni doesn’t only want to write. She wants to travel, meet new people, experience new cultures. She wants to submerge herself in life and live it the best way she can. I’m smiling to myself as I type this because at Jenni’s age I had a truckload of dreams and only pocket full of possibiliy. I had no idea what I wanted to dedicate my life to- I just knew I wanted to live it well.
After hearing Jenni talk, and “Amening” her desire to inspire and live life adventurously Jenni and I came to a conclusion. We may not always know what we want to do with our lives, but it is always important to know what kind of people we want to become. Character is everything. Jenni- thank you so much for being YOU. You, my friend, will not only live out your dreams, but become an incredible woman along the way.
I can’t wait to see that happen.
Happy Friday!
