Love is a beautiful thing. It’s special. It’s sacred, and there is nothing more thrilling than loving some completely. Love takes time, it takes sacrifice. It is the selfless and it is mystifying…..
Where do I even begin with these two?
If you’ve been an avid reader of the blog for a while, their faces might be familiar to you, and that’s because they are! Karen + Aaron were featured last Spring on the FREE fifteen! Now, almost seven months later, they’re engaged! To read their story, click here!
Aaron made Karen’s dreams come true and proposed to her at Disneyland in October! How precious is that?! A few close friends helped Aaron pull everything off that day. They correctly titled their secret “mission”: Operation Red Rose. Karen’s favorite character, Belle (from beauty and the beast) was also a part of the proposal. It was simply magical!
Like all newly engaged couples, one of the first things they wanted to do was choose a day to get married! But they didn’t just want to choose any date. They wanted the date they chose to be a reflection of Christ being the center of their life together.
They chose September 6th 2014…. and I’ll let you read from Karen’s own words why:
“9.6.14 – the numbers that will be etched in mine and Aaron’s hearts for the rest of our days. Yes, these numbers represent the day in which we will be joined in a lifelong union and enter into a beautiful covenant with The Lord. The day we will become husband and wife. But, these numbers represent so much more than a date. Galatians is the 9th book of the New Testament. Within that 9th book there is a chapter 6 and within that chapter there is a verse 14. This verse holds profound meaning for us as followers of Jesus Christ and as we approach the date 9.6.14, our prayer is that we (as a couple) and you (our friends and family) cling to the biblical reference of 9.6.14 for all our days here on this earth. Let us boast in The Lord and be crucified to the world!
‘But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.’ -Galatians 6:14
9.6.14 – the day we will boast in The Lord of the love He has so graciously blessed us with. THE COLLIERS: COMING SEPTEMBER 6,2014!” – Karen
Now they are in the planning process with a wedding scheduled for next Fall 🙂
I can’t wait to see what God does with them in the months to come!
Happy Monday!
