Developing relationships is one of the most incredible things about being in the photo industry. I’ve quickly learned that there are two different mindsets that most photographers have about their peers: competition or community. I favor the community mindset! There is NO use comparing myself to or competing with anyone in my industry! We are all so different and unique- and I just LOVE that!
One of my sweet friendships that has developed through photography is with Kyrstie Godwin. Kyrstie is a Wedding and Portrait photographer based in Mobile, AL. Adorable, funny, and super sweet, Kyrstie is SO good at what she does! Like most photographers, Kyrstie does photography part time. She has been pursing a degree as well as running her business! How awesome is that?! I love the fact that I have a friend to whom understands what it is like to be a young businesswoman- it is so encouraging, because sometimes it gets really hard to keep up with everything! Kyrstie is just that.
In just a short week, Kyrstie will graduate college and continue with life’s adventure. I am so proud of this girl. As a business women, friend, and photo guru she is someone you want to keep an eye out for in the years to come!
Kyrstie knew I would be graduating soon as well, so we did a photo swap! She captured me for my senior portraits and I got the opportuniy to capture her as well! Enjoy this mini session Kyrstie and I had together! Be on the lookout next week for the fabulous photos Krystie captured too!
I’m off to Macon, GA for a photo shoot with one of my sweet 2015 couples! Yay for road trips!!
Happy Friday!
