Maia leapt upon the bale of hay with grace and I giggled as I tried to imagine myself doing the same. She poised herself elegantly and looked down at my camera. I clicked a few shots and became memorized by the light, the lines and the subject. In almost 100 degree weather Maia’s senior session quickly became one of my favorites!
I have known Maia and her family for years. So when she asked me to do a senior session, I couldn’t contain my excitement! Being able to capture her beauty was such a gift! Her session was filled with laughter, stories, and beautiful moments.
Maia is a sweet heart. She has a beautiful grace and softness about her. Under her beauty is an adventurous and mysterious side that I can’t quite put into words. I think these photos explain it pretty well though :).
At 17 Maia has already purchased her own car, and plans to start her senior year of high school AND her freshmen year of college in the fall. She’s quite the lady.
Maia loves sunflowers and the outdoors. Many of you know how smitten I am by fresh flowers, so anytime I am able to incorporate them in a photo shoot, I do it!
Finding a field of sunflowers turned out to be much more difficult than I had anticipated. So, as a surprise, I purchased this gorgeous bouquet from Joy’s Floral & Gifts, a local flower shop in Powhatan, VA.
I was so in LOVE with how well it turned out. Doesn’t it look like Maia just picked them right out of a sunflower field? Ahhh, I love it!
We adventured to two different locations, and each one Maia owned the camera. Isn’t she breath taking?!
Maia I am so excited for you to start your senior year of high school!
