This week I am in Ridgecrest, NC serving with MFUGE! But I’m not alone, twenty-six other people from Powhatan, VA are here with me and we are having a BLAST! There are so many incredible stories that have already taken place. Like the fact that one girl from our group didn’t even know she was going to MFUGE until two days before we left… and almost directly after that we got enough donations for her to come for FREE.
FUGE is a place where life change happens. And praise God that it is!
Bringing my youth group, the CrossHeirs, to FUGE has been such a great experience. See, last year I served on the other side of FUGE, as a staffer in Charleston, SC. It was an incredible opportunity that deepened my intimacy with Christ and revealed so many marvelous things along the way. As a staffer, I served with 23 other staffers who became my family. Three of the staffers from Charleston last year, are serving at Ridgecrest this summer. It has been such a blessing to see them.
My heart is in an awkward place though. This summer I wasn’t able to serve with FUGE. God had other plans. But in his sovereignty I think I understand why…
You see, it takes not being a part of something you love, to show you just how much you love it. I think that God wanted me to take a summer off of FUGE for many reasons, but I have no doubt that one of those reasons was to show me just how much spreading his name, loving on teenagers, and missions are a part of what he has called me to do.
How is God revealing his plan for your life?
Happy Friday!

Oh Anna!!! How I love Ridgecrest and Ashville!! We used to attend Sunday School week every summer and bring our Sunday School Director along with teachers who wanted to come for training!! It might be where I had my first Crispy Crème!!! We would meet up with friends from Seminary. What great memories! Ridgecrest Senior Adult Week was one of Rachel’s first long trips! She was the youngest one there and you know she got a lot of attention!!! Praying for your Youth Group, that they will find a deeper relationship with Jesus, fall in love with Him this week!! Love you girl!!
