This last week, has flown by. In previous months, when time seemed to stand still, it’s crazy to think now it’s broken into a full-fledged run. As I’ve visited friends and made my way down south, I’ve been tremendously blessed by small moments along the way. Intimate snapshots, and frozen moments that Christ has blessed me with. I love road trips, I really really do. I honestly just love any excuse to travel. I swoon over new landscape. The way the same road can allow flat ground turns to rolling hills, or country farm land to become a concrete jungle.
Yesterday, Ryan and I made our way down to Mobile, Alabama for the official move. We hugged his parents goodbye just as the sun began to stretch itself across the morning sky.
I’m not sure if photographing while driving is illegal, but I am sure glad I captured these.
We had a 5 hour road trip ahead of us, both in our own cars, me following him. The whole trip down, Christ’s promises echoed in my heart. I felt the comfort of knowing that this is exactly where I was supposed to be.
Ry and I made only a handful of stops. One of them being at a little coffee shop right outside of Opelika, Alabama. Ry had been there many times before on previous trips to and from school, and treated me to an amazing caramel macchiato. I instantly fell in love.
I loved coffee shop for so many reasons, the coffee, urban rustic decor, and the adorable guest sign in book that I may have written mushy gushy heartfelt expressions of love on the pages of.
The road trip continued until we finally reached Mobile. The butterflies in my belly went CRAY as we drove onto the campus and to my dorm.
And it all became real.
