I’m a super-duper big fan of interior decorating. I just love how a combination of colors & textures can come together to create a beautiful and unique living space.
So, when I decided I was going to attend The University of Mobile, one of the first things I couldn’t wait to do was plan out was how my dorm room would look! (and yes, I know I’m a dork 🙂
I have so many interests & so many loves that I kinda wondered how I could bring it all together in a new way. I wanted it to reflect me fully, but I also had to remember that I’d be sharing this room with a roommate, so I couldn’t get too crazy. I also wanted a relaxing atmosphere that reflected me in the best way possible without depleting my wallet (now that I’m going back to school, the words “student loans” are back to haunt me).
Picking three colors and sticking within their color families was the best place to start. That in itself took forever, but I finally found a combination that was fun, elegant and had a little sparkle to it! Whatcha think?! What are some colors that reflect you?
Next comes my favorite part: crafting pieces to fit the color scheme! All I gotta say is, spray paint is about to become my new best friend 🙂
