I didn’t do my usual work out at the gym today.
Nope.
Instead, I cut it short, curled up on the couch, poured myself another cup of coffee and went through pictures. Hundreds of beautiful memories that put all other memory lanes to shame.
See, I’m going through this stage…
There are 27 days until I start my trek down to Mobile, Alabama.
Twenty seven.
Veinte Siete.
Vingt-sept
Ventisette Anni.
Siebenundzwanzig.
Two. Seven.
Whoa.
The guest room in my parent’s house is full of stuff. You know… clothes, curtains, picture frames, lamps…bottles of gummy vitamins. The important things one needs for college life.
I’ve never moved out of Virginia before, so this is a big step for me. Considering I travel a lot I just keep telling myself that it’s like a four-month vacation… with school work. I’ll be fourteen hours away from daddy daughter dates…700 miles away from morning coffee conversation with mom and my little sister won’t be able to jump on me while I’m sleeping whenever she pleases.
I’m making myself homesick and I haven’t even left yet.
In spite of that, there’s a lot else rumblin’ in this heart of mine
What’s Rumbling:
I’m currently listening to Christmas music samplers from Noise Trade & The Music Bed. They’re so mellow & lovely. They are definitely worth downloading and they’re free. Yep, you’re welcome
I’m crafting wall art & pillows. Mint green? Tiffany Blue? Rustic Gold + lace? oh yeah, annnnnnd I’m considering posting a few crafts on this here blog. Interested?
I’m staring at my guitar. I picked it up last week for the first time in months and I honestly have no explanation why I haven’t touched it in so long… I need to play it more often, I NEED to start writing again.
I’m babysitting Reagan. A lot. I’m in love with this child. She teaches me things daily. I am so blessed to be a part of her life.
I’m packing & consolidating my life. Literally. I’ve packed more suitcases than I can count in my life time. But packing up all my things to move to a new city is a whole different story…. especially since my car is the size of a peanut.
I’m shooting people. Literally, my photography has grown wings and is in flight. It’s CRAY CRAY y’all! I never thought I’d be blessed with the gift of capturing people through photography as much as I am. Not only is it so fun, but I’m learning SO MUCH. I’m seriously considering writing a few posts about what I’ve learned as a new photographer.
I’m celebrating friendships. I have the best friends and family a girl could ask for, and I’m spending as much time with them before I leave. I am so thankful.
