The Rewards of My Job
Let me assure you- they are countless. But lately, the most rewarding thing about what I do has been the relationships I build with my clients. There is nothing sweeter than when a client becomes a friend. I have grown to cherish not only the picture process, but also the relationships that grow out of that process!
PR team
Being a Senior in college is a whirlwind. But I love it. It have been so fun getting back into the swing of things again. One of the things I’m involved with on my school’s campus is the PR (Public Relations) team. PR attends all school events and take pictures, documenting and telling the story of the event. It is a GREAT way for me to practice doing what I love in a completely new way than what I’m used to. Instead of being able to direct and pose my clients, I’m now subject to capturing photos of people without being able to control what they do. It’s such an incredible learning experience! It definitely is growing my techniques with the camera 🙂 annnnnd I get to meet incredibly talented musicians like Andrew Ripp 🙂
the Flea Market
I discovered the Mobile, Flea Market last week and literally fell in love. I am a bargain hunter at heart. The flea market is this massive assembly of booths and tables filled with food, antiques, animals and an endless amount of other things- for cheap. Every college kid loves that word. I fell in love with these beautiful plates…. and totally regret not getting them. Aren’t they gorgeous?
Road Trip to DC
In early October, me and three of my girl friends from Mobile are taking a road trip to Washington DC for Fall Break. We are going to stay with my family for a few days, and then make our way to DC to complete a 4 day trip that our school is offering for course credit. I am THRILLED. I love love love road trips! Not only that, but we’re traveling to DC during my favorite time of year: fall!
FALL
Crisp fresh air, rich color filled leaves, pumpkin spiced sweet treats, boots, scarves, cuddly sweaters, apple picking in the mountains… all of these things make me absolutely smitten! Fall is by far my favorite season. I get excited just THINKING about it. In Mobile, Alabama, Fall is a tease. Fall doesn’t even really happen here. It’s warm and 75 degrees all the way until November, and then, “Winter” happens- the air gets frigid and cold and the humidity in the air freezes and chills to the bone. So, you can definitely see my excitement in the fact that I’ll be able to spend some time in October in VA, when Fall is at its peak! Can’t wait!
This little guy loves fall too– how precious is he?! Here is a sneak peek of what is to come next week!
