The best day ever started off with 5 girls, cinnamon buns & chickfila- the perfect start to a perfect day.
I love the awesome women in my life.
Around 1pm we all headed to our school’s Crawfish Boil. Live music, crawfish, snow cones and sunshine filled our afternoon. Then, my gorgeous friend Nicole stole the stage when she sang “Hit the Road Jack” — so incredible.
As the sun began to tuck itself under the sky, the spring formal began. Soft music danced from under the old oaks on campus.
Candles hung from tree branches and h’orderves were served as we mingled and made conversation. Beauty filled the night….. each lady there looked magnificent. Horse drawn carriage rides were offered and the hopeless romantic in me was swept away…
Then the dancing started and the rest is history 😉
What’s Rumbling:
I had a blast in the post depicted above
If you couldn’t tell, it was a wonderful day
I have kept my nails painted lavender for as long as I can remember.
Mainly because it’s gorgeous and springy and reminds me of Easter.
I’ve discovered the art of cheap but classy cardigan making.
Go to Good Will. Find cute sweater ($3!!). Cut cute sweater down the middle. Iron on “hem tape” (totes can buy that wonderfulness at Walmart btw). And suddenly, you’re fabulous. (see below 😉
I’ve fallen in love with Impressionistic music
So inspiring, and great for writing 5 page papers… which seems to be all to common these days.
I have a Church in Mobile that I can finally call “Home”.
Honestly, that in itself is a beautiful, wonderful, thing.
My first wedding, as a photographer, is next month.
I CANNOT wait. God is SO good.
My heart keeps crying out in thankfulness.
This last month has been a cocktail of emotion and complex circumstances. It’s been hard, exhausting & exciting. Now that it’s over, I feel new and I can somewhat breathe again. It seems as if I see each little detail I encounter is seen with new eyes. My heart is full of gratitude for breath, sunshine, a smile, a conversation, my morning latte– anything and everything seems to be crowned with thankfulness.
